Temporary disaster waste collection site will open (August 1–31)
A temporary disaster waste collection site will be set up at the west parking lot and open area of Kumatoyo Sports Park (Kashima Town General Sports Park) from August 1 (Saturday) to August 31 (Monday). Reception hours are 8:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.–4:30 p.m. The site will not accept waste on Sundays (except August 2 and 9) and will be closed August 11–16 for the Obon holiday.
What to doSort all waste into types: broken glass, electrical appliances, concrete, metal scraps, and so on. Bring a government ID such as a driver's license when you bring waste to the site.

The water source is muddy, so not enough water is reaching the storage tanks. Water trucks are adding water, but supply cannot keep up with use. To prevent a water outage, people on the small-scale water system in the named districts should save water. The water now coming out of taps is safe to drink, but if it looks muddy or tastes strange, stop drinking it immediately.
